The Silicocene

What is The Silicocene?

Coined by Breakthrough Social Enterprise CEO, Sobanan Narenthiran, The Silicocene isn’t just the name for a period of time. It’s a philosophy to ensure that we use AI safely and responsibly, as well as a blueprint for the practical, inclusive application of new technology.

The reason that it’s hard to imagine an AI-powered future that can support sustainability, community and human connection is because those haven’t been a priority for those involved in it so far. We’re working to change that perception, and ensure a better trajectory for our planet and each other.
